Cape Breton Screaming Eagles defenceman Alexis Sansfaçon has been traded.
The second-year player will join teammate Drake Batherson in Blainville-Boisbriand for the second half of the season. Sansfaçon fetched a 2018 third-round pick from the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
The Shawinigan, PQ native appeared in 35 games this season for Cape Breton amassing six assists and 28 penalty minutes. Sansfaçon struggled in the first half of the season with a goals-for-percentage of 34.43% – second worst on the team.
The Christmas Trading Period comes to a close on Saturday an 1pm AT.
