The Halifax Mooseheads moved up from seventh to sixth in this week’s CHL Top 10 rankings.

Led by sophomore Raphaël Lavoie, the Mooseheads finished Week 17 with a perfect record of 3-0-0 with a win over the Moncton Wildcats and back-to-back wins over the Charlottetown Islanders. Lavoie tallied five points and scored all three game-winning goals.

The Mooseheads have made the CHL Top 10 rankings six times so far this season. Halifax has been among the top 10 CHL teams for three consecutive weeks.

The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (3) are the only QMJHL team ranked higher than the Mooseheads. The Drummondville Voltigeurs (7) and Rimouski Océanic (10) round out the QMJHL’s representation in this week’s CHL Top 10.

The Mooseheads will look to extend an eight-game winning streak on Wednesday night when they host the Moncton Wildcats at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, NS.
